Spiritual Living - 2013!
We’re VERY excited about our plans for Spiritual Living 101 in 2013!
We have chosen four books to study for the year – one for each quarter. It’s a great mix of authors and ideas, and promises to make Spiritual Living 101 a great place to come and gain a greater understanding of life, of God, and of ourselves.
Please join us in 2013, as we study, together:
I am soooo excited that you are here!! i listen to Edward every Sun on the radio and am so glad to be able to have you here in my town!! With gas prices what they are, I was unable to drive there for services. Also like that the services are not on Sunday!!!
Welcome!! I will spread the word.
If I can be of any help here let me know.
Sincerely, Helen Golbinec

Is this based on Buddhist teachings? Meditation and such? Or is Jesus Christ part of your discussions? I am not religious but am very interested in loving kindness and mindfullness.
Thank you.
hi linda!
this is what is commonly called “new thought” spirituality. it combines ancient wisdom, including the teachings of jesus as well as other world religions and philosophies, as well as newer information, i.e. the reunification of science and spirituality that is currently happening. we look for what is common and True when considering god and the nature of god. we practice using tools like prayer and meditation, study and sacred service. interesting that you mention loving kindness and mindfulness – those are perhaps two of the most important practices. we seem to attract people like you – spiritual but not religious – who want to practice a mindful way of living with loving kindness, leaving each day perhaps a bit better than we found it.
i’m going to paste a copy of our Global Heart VIsion below to give you a bit more information, and if you have more questions, please e-mail us again!
The Global Heart Vision
We envision the emergence of the Global Heart to balance and guide the further evolution of humanity as stewards of our planet and all its inhabitants.
We see a world free of homelessness, violence, war, hunger, separation and disenfranchisement.
We see a world in which there is generous and continuous sharing of heart and resources. We envision a world in which forgiveness, whether for errors, injustices, or debts, is the norm.
We see a world in which borders are irrelevant.
We see a world which has renewed its emphasis on beauty, nature, and love through the resurgence of creativity, art, and aesthetics.
We see a world in which fellowship with all life prospers and connects through the guidance of spiritual wisdom and experience.
We envision a world in which we live and grow as One Global Family that respects and honors the interconnectedness of all life.
We envision United Centers for Spiritual Living as a bridge across the illness and illusion of separation thereby dynamically empowering the vision of Global Heart.
We envision United Centers for Spiritual Living as united and actuated by this compelling vision of a healthy world (a world experience Global Heart) and is ardently committed to bringing this vision forth through its ministries and its transformative teaching.
We see the United Centers for Spiritual Living as a global community of inspired individuals caring for and about each other and the entire planetary family, thereby bringing the gift of active compassion and kindness to the world. Our local ministries and communities become “points of inspiration and influence” effectively advancing the vision of the Global Heart to benefit all expressions of life.
